I don't even have a character yet, but I already want to bitch about the website layout... xD

Can you change the colour scheme a bit?
The blue of some links (users) is very bad to see on some monitors (my laptop for example. =P)
Don't know if it's possible, just saying I have problems correctly viewing it.

...now for making a character...
(Too long ago. xD)

To add: Using a black background and a pure-white text on top can also strain some people's eyes. Using an off-white, like... this example solves that by sort of 'softening' the color impact. Smile

But now that I'm posting a message... xD; A red text box will make it really hard to see a light reddish text, just like how Jelly is already having problems with the blue names.

But, especially with smaller fonts, or on some screens that make the font look smaller, it can be a tad troublesome. It has to do with the high contrast and inverted look. We're all used to seeing black text on white, but flipping that backwards can cause some strain for a few people. I suppose changing the white text should depend on if anyone here has an issue with it. It's a minor bug for me, but I can easily look past it.

Ok you make a good point. I just chose this layout because it reminded me of the the layout of the original Meinior Mansion, I never really thought about the practical issues (in my defense, I have a superawsome computer screen so it all looks perfectly fine and clear here Razz)

But euhm, I'll just change it to something very boring but very clear and easy to use... and Jelly, in some later time you can come over and help me make the forum both practical and pretty (no you don't have a say in this:D)

Thanx for bringing this to my attention!

It's no trouble. X3 Though if you want to customize a layout a bit, this is a great resource for finding matching colors and their hex codes. http://colorschemedesigner.com/

Well, it's not finding the colors that's the problem as much as... how the hell do I get them to the forum? ^^;

Hahah, I just found a template that looked good and morphed that into a better look for Meinoir. http://demo.nicetheme.com/forum?theme_id=140780 That's what I used as the base.

By the way, I now see a lot of 'errors' from photobucket.
When I open the main forum page I see that the top banner of the messages, just below the text "View posts since last visit • View your posts • View unanswered posts" is saying "Upgrade to pro today!"
I'm guessing the bandwidth was too much for the photobucket account. (You've a limited amount of downloads/views on the free account.)

I hope that you see/know what I'm talking about.
If you need it, I might have some suggestions on what other sites to store the pictures. (Also have a personal server which could be used (I think), I barely use it and the bandwidth is 1GB I believe, pretty much if there is only 1 picture that need to be stored. =P)

I saw it too. :/ My account is fine (I checked my bandwidth usage), I believe it's the ones that I didn't replace off the original template.

Edit: So far, the only problem is with the topbar. I can tell our admin how to fix that. But if anyone sees any other image that's broken, send me a PM and I'll look into it.

I can't directly fix the layout, because only the admin has access to the administration panel, but I do have a direct copy of the layout on a test forum I used to make it, so I'll be using that to figure out fixes and giving Jack the directions.

Seems to be fixed now at least. (It's only a gray bar, can't there be just CSS colours used to do that? xD [Don't know how though and I think it's impossible while using this forum type.])

And, the admin really can't give other people admin rights?
Weird... On the previous MM forum it was possible to do that. (I know, I could change everything... and so I did! xD)
Apparently this forum provider doesn't support settings like that... interesting...

Well I can't write CSS from scratch, that's why I used a pre-existing template and worked off of that. All I know how to write are some minor edits, and aside from that, I can read parts of it, that's all though. ^^; As for the powers, I don't know. I was made a mod temporarily but couldn't get access to the admin panel at all so. -shrug- It worked out in the end anyway.

Found another broken image (I think)!

On https://mmii.actieforum.com/profile?mode=editprofile
a.k.a. Profile (On every page...)

I can't find the name of the file which isn't showing up, but I guess you can find it in the layout settings.

Oh, this site supports CSS for the forum layout?
In that case I could try to edit the CSS file a little after I'm back from my vacation. I have some CDD knowledge, so if you don't mind I could try to fix some stuff. =P (Maybe everything is ok by the time I come back, but just so you know; I wouldn't mind to help, I like working on stuff like this. ^^)

A lot of images in the template I worked off of were in the CSS, lol, and I'm starting to think I might as well go about replacing all of them...
