Keoki Ingram MeinKeo

Name: Keoki Ingram

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Species: Werewolf

Appearance: Lightly tanned skin, light blonde hair, blue eyes. 5'7" with a slim, slightly athletic build. Has a nasty scar on her left forearm where she was bitten (but she'll lie if you ask about it). Almost always seen with her camera bag and newsboy cap unless indoors or running around.
Were-appearance isn't very different from what you would see in a modern werewolf movie. The fur is a gray/brown color, eyes stay the same.

Origin: USA, drifted around with no real home.

Special Abilities:
-Werewolf Transformation. Instinct takes over judgment, increased overall abilities, highly resistant to damage but even weaker to silver. (only on full moons, uncontrollable unless she stops it with medication)
-Above average strength (controllable, stronger at night, especially with the moon out. Weakest during the day)
-High endurance and pain treshold (constant. This means she is damaged less easily than a human, and also feels less pain, but it does not mean she goes unharmed or unfeeling)
-Practices parkour and freerunning [more on that in Information]

History: (I'm sorry this is so long, if the admin needs me to, I'll shorten it some)
Keoki was born as a human under another name, to a small family as an only-child. She grew up in a decent area, though her parents tended to be a little overprotective. She grew up to be one of the usual rebellious teens, and on one night, at the age of 15, she got into a typical and petty fight with her parents. To try and scare them, she ran out of the house in the middle of the night. Before the police were able to find her, she's already made her way to an old, condemned building that she often wandered around the outside of.

That night, however, didn't end in the police dragging her home. Instead, something else found her, and all she actually remembered was a lot of screaming and a lot of pain, but the rest of the memory was just a black-out. She woke up the next morning in a hospital, an officer coming in to explain that they thought she'd been attacked by a rabid dog, so she'd have to stay for a while to make sure she didn't develop any problems.

After that, things were relatively back to normal, other than a lot of aches and her parents being worried about the experience. However, a while after the incident, Keo had another black-out, this time waking in her room with her clothes tattered... and her room a mess. The most noticeable part was a fully broken-out window. Her parents thought it was some strange form of acting out, but Keoki knew something was particularly wrong when she heard about a strange death on the morning news, something about a "rabid dog" mauling a man to death. It was no one she knew, but it certainly felt familiar.

Though her parents began taking her to family therapy sessions, nothing seemed to be wrong with her. And instead of focusing on that, Keoki was digging up the subject of lycanthropy. While it was hardly a realistic explanation, it was certainly an interesting one. So on the evening of the next full moon, Keoki grabbed the family video camera and snuck back out to the old building where she'd be attacked, as smart as that was, after telling her parents she'd be spending the night at a friend's house. She found a room with a lock, locked herself in, and hid the video camera in a spot where it would be hard to hit, but still be able to record the happenings of the night.

The next morning, she found the room to be just as messy as her room had been, her clothes back into a similar shape, and the camera a bit roughed up, but thankfully still working. And while the footage took a while to actually sink in... at least no one was dead this time. Shortly after finishing the tape, she heard what sounded like footsteps outside of the room. Opening the door, she met a middle-aged woman named Anna.

As it turned out, Anna was the one who bit Keo, and while originally, she'd intended to just leave, Anna heard about another death and decided to see if it was true that Keo had "turned". She went on to explain and fill in the blanks for the newbie werewolf, which now seemed to be official, and Anna took her on as a protégé. They kept in contact for a good few weeks before Keoki was finally convinced that it'd be safest for her to leave home. She'd already lucked out that here parents weren't killed the last time she transformed.

It was about that time, a little before the next full moon, that Keo actually changed her name to "Keoki" and left with Anna for more of a drifter life. Learning more about werewolves, and the supernatural in general, Anna was also the one to introduce her to the medication she sometimes uses, and informed her on where to get refills. They traveled together for a few years, until Keo was 18, and then went their separate ways.

Since filming her own transformation, Keo had gotten quite into filming, especially into filming oddities. Anna seemed to know this, as after a year of sparse contact, a mail turned up at Keo's current hotel room. Inside was a letter, a large check, and a plane ticket to a city close enough for her to make it to Penrose in a timely manner. While she had no idea where Anna got the money from, nor did she ask, Keo took her time to gather her things and prepare, instead of just letting the ticket, and adventure go to waste. The only catch she didn't like was that Anna wanted her to attend the university.

Personality: Keoki is a rash, playful, and occasionally bad-tempered character. She's rather outgoing and enjoys a good drink, but may still have a bit of a rebellious streak in her. Intellectually, she's an average student, and is perfectly fine with that, usually only putting in an extra effort for classes she really enjoys.
While she doesn't fall into the 'movie-obsessed' category, Keo loves filming things just for the possiblity of catching something interesting (and by that she means weird or paranormal). As such, she's decided to study film, figuring she could go into fiction or horror.

Apathy: While Keoki is a friendly person, she suffers from a very apathetic, uncaring mindset about long-term friendships and connections. Frankly, she wants nothing to do with them. In fact, they scare her because of her lycanthropy and constant moving around. She feels like getting attached to people will only leave her and the other person hurting in the end, which is why she avoids it. But, she also sees that as no excuse to be rude or bitchy to people.

Study/Work: Film major, Uni first-year/Waitress (weekends)

Information:
-Keo is known for carrying a camera [link] around in almost all situations. Should that fail, she made sure to get a camera phone... should that fail, she has a bad habit of carrying around a hunting knife for "security".

-To help move around her usually odd filming locations, Keo practices freerunning and parkour, which are sort of like 'movement sports'. ((if you don't know what that is, click here for a vid))

-Keoki uses a special medication, designed for any werewolf, to supress her transformations when she's around others. She has to keep a close eye on the phases of the moon for this. Once she knows when the next full moon is coming, she has to start taking the pills at least two days in advance, taking two pills every eight hours.
The more doses she misses, the higher chance she has of transforming despite the medication.
-To avoid someone from digging around, Keoki rips the labels off of her medication as soon as she gets a new bottle, and if asked, will usually call it asprin.

-Animals treat Keoki, and other werewolves, no differently from normal humans when in human form. When transformed, she is seen as only a potential predator like a wolf or a lion.

Weaknesses:
-Silver, creates a strong burning sensation on the skin, and can leave much worse burning internally (the purer it is, the more damage it causes);
-Wolfsbane (Aconitum) is poisonous to the touch, deadly to ingest;
-Natural instinct is to avoid mistletoe, mountain ash and unproccessed rye, all of which are harmless but act as wards

Extra note: I don't like the old Keo anymore. This is basically a reboot/reset, starting over completely. So, she doesn't know anyone or anything in Penrose.
