Wisp Moth

Wisp Moths are the size of a large moth, just slightly bigger than a balled fist. The most striking parts of their bodies are the pale blue ghost-fire that engulfs the wings and the "eyeballs" mimicked on the wings. The fire, being only ghost-fire, is harmless to humans, only creating a strong warmth sensation when it's close or touching skin. It's unknown if the eyeballs can actually see, but they seem to move in any direction within the wings, independently of one another, and tend to lock-on to people nearby.

Strengths:
- They have some level of intelligence, and love to trick people. They will pretend to be benevolent, as if they are leading the person out of the forest, but have the exact opposite in mind.
- The Moths seem to have a hive mind, in that they get smarter and more organized in large groups. This can be trouble, seeing as a single moth can already be rather tricky.
- The light of their wings is used as a beacon to lure people deeper into the forest. In groups, they may form lines of light that actually lead someone into quicksand or swamp, or gather around a larger monster to lure it over to a person they saw in the forest.
- If a group is angered, they tend to swarm around the person to blind them until they walk into harm's way.

Weaknesses:
- They are rather harmless, seeing as their fire doesn't actually burn anything, and they don't have fangs or pincers to attack with.
- Once someone learns to never trust the moths, they are even more harmless. They can still attract other monsters, but if nothing is around, and they are ignored, there isn't much left for them to do.
- Like normal moths, Wisp Moths have a strange attraction to intense lights and flames, other then those of their wings. This leaves them to often fly into lights, bug zappers or fires when they see them.

Appearance:
This isn't finished, but it gives you an idea. The eyeballs aren't on the line art yet, but can be seen on the original sketch.

Extra:
- When a moth dies, it bursts into flame and leaves only a pile of ash. This leaves them extremely hard to preserve for study, unless they can somehow be kept alive throughout the observation.
