Maidens (Titles need ten characters? BAH!)
Maidens
Maidens are one of the few actively benevolent inhabitants of Burglinde. The legends surrounding them vary some claiming them to be the spirits of those who died at the hands of the monsters, others that they are otherworldly beings. They will attempt to guide people that will follow them out of the forest safely. They are normally found singing in an unknown language, which they may talk in when trying to encourage people to follow them.
Those that tread in the mist that surrounds them are shown for what they really are, allowing people to see their souls rather than bodies. People with kind personalities are shown glowing and attractive while those that are cruel are covered by a dark shadow and malformed. Mythological peoples are additionally shown in their true form, and immortals show their true age.
Though they are harmless they are treated with suspicion due to how dangerous the rest of the forest is.
Strengths: No physical body and thus can’t be harmed, (they’re more visions than beings in that sense)
Dispersal of magical effects
Weaknesses: Unable to physically interact with the world
Easy to detect due to the light they give off and their singing
Appearance: They appear as pale attractive women clothed in simple elegant white dresses, carrying ‘pools’ of light cupped between their hands. A mist swirls around their feet extending a few meters from them around the forest floor.
Extra: The dispersal of magic and only occurs inside of the mist. There are only an estimated twenty or so maidens in Burglinde. Should a Maiden spill any of the light they carry pooled in their hands the drops will fall to the ground. About 4cm above the ground surface the drops will disappear and form ripples as if they had hit water.
Kind of a modified banshee, minus the death and such

Oooh, these sound interesting. I just hope Keo avoids the mist, lest we risk scaring the hell out of a few people. xD
