History: started out a promising young business student. Met the woman of his dreams, got offered a risky but potentially great investment and dropped out. Everything seemed great and he got married, life was great. But the investment crashed and burned to ashes and all the money was gone. After a couple of years struggling with loans and small project the offer to restore, improve and run Meinior Mansion (as a part of Penrose’s program to attract new people to town) landed on his lap and he leaped at the chance. Desperate for this thing to work out he gladly accepts everyone who wants to rent a room and is prepared to bend the house rules fairly easy for a nice compensation.
Personality: he’s a grouchy, burned down workaholic who looks and acts much older than he actually is. He excludes himself from mankind, resenting everything and everyone around him who’s more successful than he is.
Study/Work: Landlord of Meinior Mansion and it’s grounds

History: not born the brightest light, she only just made it through high school. After beauty school combined with waitressing at night she met this wonderful, young, promising future business tycoon. They fell in love, got married and were heading for a rainbow and sunshine horizon. Unfortunately things didn’t work out like that and they spent the next couple of years trying to get by on nothing. But unlike her husband she had a broad social network and a job as a beautician. Though she was happy with Penrose’s offer, she misses her old friends from back home, as well as the attention she used to get from her husband when they were still happy. That’s why she does a lot of work around the house and jumps on every possibility to chat and establish new contacts. Everyone in Penrose knows her or has heard of her and all the mansion’s tenants will be dragged into a rain of pleasantries sooner or later.
Personality: A friendly, spontaneous, cheerful housewife. A real busy-body too; she seriously needs to have something on her hands every waking moment, and she’ll always be there for you no matter what you ask.
